The dream of Ioannis Skrafnakis
Ioannis Skrafnakis grew up among the medicinal herbs of Crete. His family lived close to nature - using olive oil as a golden elixir and beeswax as a skin protector. Yet Ioannis first chose a different path: he worked for years at Heraklion University Hospital, specialising in health, prevention and sterilisation methods. But the deeper he delved into the medical world, the stronger his desire became to return to the essence: preventive care from nature.
Together with his wife, a chemist, he founded in 2007 Evergetikon on - derived from the Greek word for "benefactor". Not just another cosmetics line, but a mission to reconnect people with the power of nature.
More pure than pure
Evergetikon is all about real ingredients. No synthetic fragrances, no watery fillers, no unnecessary preservatives. Each product is formulated with cold-pressed olive oil, raw beeswax, essential oils and herbal extracts that come straight from the island. Even water is deliberately omitted in many products - to increase purity and shelf life.
"A good product protects and heals," says Ioannis. "Not only the skin, but also the mind. We believe in holistic care - where beauty, health and balance coincide."
